The Diocese of Cava e Sarno was a Roman Catholic diocesis located in the Italian region Campania. It existed from 1818 to 1986. It was formed in 1818 by merging the historic dioceses of ''Cava'' (founded in 1394 centred on La Trinità della Cava〔''Catholic Encyclopedia, "(Abbey of Trinita di Cava Dei Tirreni )" (1913).〕), ''Sarno'' (founded in 1066) and ''Nuceria Paganorum'' (refounded in 1386). In 1834, Nuceria was reestablished as a separate diocesis〔''Catholic Encyclopedia'', "(Nocera Dei Pagani )" (1913).〕 but the other two compoments remained united. In 1986 the diocesis was suppressed and its territories divided: Cava de Tirreni merged with the Archdiocesis of Amalfi, while Sarno merged with the diocesis of Nuceria Pagani to form the diocesis of Nocera Inferiore-Sarno. ==List of Bishops== Bishops of Sarno and Cava (1818–1986) *Silvestro Granito, 1818-1832 *Tommaso Bellacosa, 1834-1843 *Salvatore Fertitta, 1844–1873 *Giuseppe Carrano (1874–1890 *Giuseppe Izzo, 1890–1914 *Luigi Lavitrano, 1914–1924 *Pasquale Dell'Isola, 1928–1938 *Francesco Marchesani, 1939 *Gennaro Fenizia, 1948–1952 *Alfredo Vozzi, 1953–1972 *Jolando Nuzzi, 1972–1986 *Ferdinando Palatucci, 1982–1986 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Roman Catholic Diocese of Cava and Sarno」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
